Reflections Zoom Call

On May 29th, nine of the original 1969 Blues joined together virtually for a gathering that brought teammates and friends back together. Although almost a year had passed since the filming of the documentary ‘A Ball and a Stick’, the original Blues never had the opportunity to share their insights and observations with each other until now. Everyone contributed to the discussion that lasted a full two hours. It was great to have Bill Tieland join in from South Carolina as well as Dave Smith in Ottawa. There was some structure to the discussion with two focus questions:

1. After watching the documentary film A Ball and a Stick, what personal reflections and insights have surfaced about the 1969 Blues and the introduction of lacrosse to North Glenora and beyond?

2. Why has the Blues legacy lasted so long (57 years and counting…)?

Many thanks to Bob Johnston for setting up the Zoom call and to everyone who participated.
