The legacy of the North Glenora Blues was honored on January 16th, 2026 at the National Lacrosse League game held at Rogers Place in Edmonton. While the game between the Calgary Roughnecks and the Georgia Swarm was a lopsided affair in favour of the Swarm, it was truly a great night for lacrosse in Edmonton and a tremendous opportunity for us to share our story.
A big thank you to those who were able to attend the game with family and friends. It was great to have the team photo on the floor with former West Edmonton Blues player Bennett Smith joining us.
Also thanks to Neil Cramer from the City of Edmonton for coordinating all the details around the display. There was a lot of interest in learning more about the Blues’ story as shown by the many people who stopped by to look at the artifacts on display.
The Blues would like to thank Dennis Bruzzi from the National Lacrosse League for his unwavering commitment in making this happen.
What a great start to the Blues 60th anniversary!
